I believe with all of life's demands and responsibilities, we can lose sight of who we are and what we want. When we lose this connection, it can cause us to feel disconnected from ourselves and others. Disconnection can cause extreme psychological tension within us, leaving us feeling alone and confused. Investing some time and energy back into yourself can allow you the opportunity to explore and process your inner thoughts and feelings. This can help us to understand who we are and what we find meaningful.

My own personal experience of therapy helped me to make sense of why I was thinking and feeling a certain way. I was able to gain a different perspective on my problems and issues. This really helped me move forward and release my potential. I also carry this approach forward with all clients including my other role working with children and young people as a school counsellor. 

However keep in mind that your experience of therapy will occur in its own unique way.
